December Heat

For the first in a long time, i walked out in december wearing a t shirt. I currently live by the beach, and especially by the water most people expect it to be colder by the beach, but not this time of year. For those of you who didn't realize, we are almost in december and temperature across our region are still nearing 60 degrees. yes this is liked by many, but it is a serious problem. With the unseasonably warm temperatures, there are a lot questions being asked by many. For the past 10 years now, on average our climate has seen warmer and warmer temperatures each year, what does this mean for people in the mid atlantic region? This means a drastic climate change, a rise in sea levels which put coastal cities at risk for flooding, a change in precipitation patterns, rising waters and most importantly the melting of our glaciers to the extreme north. The thing that is so important about the topics that I just highlighted is that it is like a domino effect. Once the temperatures rise, the glaciers melt, its a trickle down affect and it is happening as we speak. Meteorologist predict that this situation will only get worse before it sees any signs of improvement, and that is if there is any improvement at all because right now its looking slim to none.I have posted an article above, and I recommend you guys take a look at it because its very interesting if you care about this place you call home.
